Back to the US of A

I'll do the mileage math tomorrow.  It's starting to add up!

Headed out of Toronto bright and early.  That's not true - the farther East I go the later I seem to be sleeping in and I didn't get on the road until about 9:00!  Toronto is a great town, but it's time to get back into the US of A.

I crossed over through Niagara and what an amazing peace of nature!  I never really thought too much of Niagara Falls... it must be one of those "you need to see it to appreciate it" type things.  I stopped on the Canadian side where it seems like there are better views, a ton of hotels, some casinos, and a lot of people.  Worth the trip!  I didn't realize there are actually 2 sets of falls, I wonder why they only show pictures of the one?

And with me ruining the scenery:

The great thing about riding a motorcycle is that parking is a snap.  Here I am parked illegally across from the falls.  This parking lot just happens to be in the Canadian Police's parking lot.  I guess I am an international criminal now.

The boarder crossing back into the US took a long time.  I had enough of a wait to take a self portrait as I waited in line.  That's as good of a Canadian Beard as I can get.  The good news, at least for those behind me, is that I was prepared with Passport in hand this time.

And the obligatory state sign.  I was trying to find a "Back in the USA" sign, but was not able to locate one.  Trust me, I am indeed back in the USA.

I entered New York right around lunch time and I figured Pizza in New York sounds about right.  I love the name of the place:

Across the street from the Pizza parlor, I watched these guys get a sofa out of the second story window.  They actually did get the sofa down with no injuries or damage.  I was expecting a youtube video of the carnage, but was disappointed.  I know the Intel safety crowd will love this...

Spending the night in Syracuse at the least expensive hotel I could find.  Let's just say you get what you pay for.  This is the only time on the trip where I removed all bags, all luggage and installed the disc lock on the bike.  Connecticut tomorrow...
